For business and institutions
Preventing the dispute before it reaches court
We advise companies operating in Honduras on employment, regulatory and corporate matters. What sets the judgement apart is where it comes from: we litigate employment cases every week, so we know first-hand what actually ends up in a claim.
- 01
Employment compliance and prevention
Employment contracts and internal regulations, termination procedures, severance exposure and support during labour inspections. The judgement comes from litigating these matters, not from reading about them.
- Contracts and internal regulations
- Termination procedures
- Severance exposure
- Labour inspections
- 02
Permits, registrations and regulatory validity
Sanitary registration, operating licences and permits before ARSA and other regulators. Before assembling a file we verify that the published requirements are still supported, rather than assuming it.
- Sanitary registration
- Operating permits
- Renewals and expiry
- Validity checks
- 03
Corporate, contracts and compliance
Entity formation and management, contract lifecycle, compliance protocols and administration of the legal matter portfolio.

We have litigated and advised from both sides of the employment relationship. That is why, when we review a company's procedures, we know where they break: they are the same cases we run from the other side.
Foreign investors
What usually goes wrong first
- Documents of foreign origin. Legalisation or apostille, and translation where required, is in our experience what delays regulatory files the most. It is worth starting there rather than leaving it until last.
- Requirements that changed. Honduran institutions publish requirements that coexist with older versions, and it is not always clear which one governs. A file built on a superseded list comes back with observations, and each round costs weeks.
- Termination practices imported from another jurisdiction. What is standard elsewhere may be void here: Honduran employment law is public order, and waivers of statutory entitlements are void regardless of what the employee signed.
How we work
The A&M process
- Assessment We review the operation, or the specific issue at hand, and deliver an analysis of the gap between where you are and where you need to be.
- Design We set the objective and prioritise what has to happen to reach it. The output is a plan of action.
- Execution We run the plan day to day, managing the matter and communicating with the stakeholders involved.
- Delivery We close with the outcome and the documentation in order.
